With the dog
Bring the dog. Skip the beach.
Seattle doesn't allow dogs on public beaches, so take the paved Alki Trail on a leash, then rinse off at the house's outdoor dog-wash station. Up to two pets, dogs or cats, are welcome ($80 pet cleaning fee per stay).
