A renovated craftsman on a quiet residential street in the Alaska Junction. Ten minutes from downtown, and a world away from it.

Our story

A retreat, not a rental.

Old-growth cedars, a short drive from the door.

When we renovated this craftsman, we designed every corner around how it feels to actually live here: coffee a three-minute walk away, old-growth forest a seven-minute drive away, an evening soak out back.

So we leaned in. A Softub and a motorized louvered pergola, so the back deck works in any weather. The Softub is a portable, insulated soaking tub with a rigid shell and no permanent plumbing, easy to set up and move. Warm wood and a leather sofa in the living room. A kitchen with an induction cooktop and a steam oven. And keyless self check-in, so there’s no waiting around for a key.

Somewhere you arrive tired and leave a little softer.

What we built in

A good stay is made of small comforts.

So we chose each one on purpose.

A deck for any weather.

A four-seat Softub on the back deck, kept warm for your arrival, and a motorized louvered pergola that opens to the stars or closes against the drizzle.

Bathroom

Back-to-back showers stay hot.

Walk-in shower, heated floor, bidet and tankless hot water.

Kitchen

Cook like you live here.

From just up the street

A few things we’d tell a friend.

Park once, walk everywhere. Coffee and the bakery are a few minutes on foot, and an old-growth trail is a short drive away.

Coffee comes first.

Start slow at the house, or stroll into the Junction for a cup and something from the bakery. Either way, it’s close.

Bring the dog.

Your dog gets the neighborhood too. One thing to know: Seattle doesn’t allow dogs on public beaches, so walk the paved trail along Alki instead.
